Module: Fundamental principles, device and system designs of energy storage technologies: electrochemical energy storage (batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells etc.), thermal energy storage (phase change), mechanical energy storage (flywheel and compressed air energy storage), hydrogen storage.

Objectives: The applications of energy storage technologies in supporting renewable energy sources for smart grid and green building applications. The applications of energy storage technologies in hybrid and all electric vehicles technologies.
